Marvel Snap's Vampires vs Zombies season pits Power-stealing vampires against a growing Zombie Horde, with eight new cards and two locations.

Marvel Snap's Vampires vs Zombies season is a spooky, high-stakes showdown that asks players to pick a side and sink their teeth into a month of sinister deck-building. Vampire cards steal Power straight from the opponent, while Zombie cards feed a returning Horde that grows hungrier as the game rolls on. Eight new cards lead the charge, with Vampire Killmonger and Zombie Blade front and center, and the season adds two locations, two albums, and a packed event calendar. The message is simple: watch your back, because these cards bite. 🧛🧟

A Season Built on Two Sinister Teams

The Horde mechanic returns as the beating heart of the Zombie side. Horde is a shared pool of Power that grows whenever a Zombie card adds to it. When a Zombie card says Horde +N, that N goes directly into the pool, and the number only goes up. Zombie Blade cashes in on the Horde at End of Turn, while Zombie Venom and Zombie Nova feed it through their On Reveal effects. Undead Metropolis pumps the Horde every time a player plays a card there, making the location a natural battleground for Zombie loyalists. The longer the game goes, the more dangerous that shared pool becomes, so players who ignore it may find themselves on the wrong end of a feeding frenzy. 🩸

Vampires take a more direct approach. Their cards steal Power from characters in the opponent's hand, on the board, or from the top of the deck. That gives Vampire decks a disruptive edge, letting players nibble away at the opponent's resources while building their own. The season is not just a themed skin over old mechanics; it is a full-on tug-of-war between two very different play styles. Team Vampire wants to drain and control, while Team Zombie wants to build a snowball and cash it in before the opponent can respond.

Season Pass Headliners

Vampire Killmonger leads the Premium Season Pass. The card has an End of Turn effect that grants a Vampiric Spear if the player spent all their Energy, and an On Reveal effect that steals 2 Power from a character in the opponent's hand. That combination makes Vampire Killmonger a flexible threat: he rewards efficient energy use and chips away at the opponent's options before they can hit the board.

Zombie Blade headlines the Super Premium Pass. At End of Turn, if the player played an On Reveal card, Zombie Blade's Zombie Horde steals 1 Power from a character in the opponent's hand, with the Horde resolving first if necessary. Both season pass cards are illustrated by season artist Joshua Raphael, and both push players toward the season's central conflict. Upgrading from Premium to Super Premium does not trigger the web shop bonus, so players who want the extra rewards need to purchase the Super Premium Pass directly through the web shop. 💀

Series 5 Cards and Limited-Time Event Cards

Four new Series 5 cards arrive in Seasonal SNAP Packs, one each week, and two more claw their way in through limited-time events. The release schedule looks like this:

Release Card Type Ability
October 6 Series 5 Seasonal SNAP Pack On Reveal: Destroy your first other card here. After one of your other cards is destroyed, Horde +2.
October 13 Series 5 Seasonal SNAP Pack On Reveal: For each different Cost among your cards in play, steal 1 Power from an enemy card here.
October 20 Series 5 Seasonal SNAP Pack When Discarded: Discard another When Discarded card. Jump to your location with the fewest cards.
October 27 Series 5 Seasonal SNAP Pack Objective: 3 of your cards have stolen Power. Transform into Crimson Behemoth. On Reveal: Steal all the Power of a front-row enemy card here.

The two limited-time event cards are Series 4. One has On Reveal and When Destroyed effects that grant Horde +3. The other has an On Reveal effect that steals 1 Power from the top character of the opponent's deck for each location the player is winning. These cards give players more ways to experiment with Horde growth and Power theft without relying only on the season pass. 🃏

New Locations

Two new locations premiere during the season. Undead Metropolis arrives on October 14 and gives Horde +1 after a player plays a card there. Crimson Citadel arrives on October 28 and makes the next play there steal 2 Power from a random enemy. Both locations reinforce the season's themes: Zombie decks get another engine for the Horde, while Vampire decks get another way to drain the opponent. Location control will matter more than ever, and players who can flip these spots at the right moment will have a serious advantage.
